What would be worse than the government taking over health care? How about the government taking over health care without even voting on it? That is exactly what the White House and Congress are about to do, not two years after they themselves deemed the action reprehensible and unconstitutional. Nancy Pelosi has some nice words about the process, which she doesn’t seem to find contradictory to her self proclaimed title as : “the most transparent government in American History.”
"It's more insider and process-oriented than most people want to know, but I like it," she said, "because people don't have to vote on the Senate bill."
Wow. How nice for them. They don’t even have to vote on the bill that none of them have read. That must be a pretty nice gig. Show up, do nothing, and BOOM – unconstitutional healthcare takeover. It is truly amazing to see the switch in mindset from democrats on how our federal government should pass this type of legislation. Heres a quote from Barrack Obama from the 2007 campaign trail:
“This is an area where we're going to have to have a 60 percent majority in the Senate and the House in order to actually get a bill to my desk. We're gonna have to have a majority to get a bill to my desk. That is not just a fifty plus one majority."
Yet, what we have on Obama’s desk, is a fifty plus one majority. One that also was never voted on in the House. How could this happen when Obama said it was impossible? Makes you wonder what else Obama is wrong about. These statements are everywhere and easy to find. This next quote was delivered by the President during a press conference at the National Press Club.
“What I worry about would be that you essentially have still two chambers, the House and the Senate, but you have simply majoritarian absolute power on either side. That's just not what the Founders intended. You know, the Founders designed this system, as frustrating it is, to make sure that there's a broad consensus before the country moves forward.
They don’t have a broad consensus. In fact, the majority of Americans are overwhelmingly against the bill. The democrats in congress may be the majority, but they do not have full the support of their party on this bill . They will fail to gain the 60 vote requirement. Yet, the bill somehow moves forward.
It’s absolutely astonishing, and it makes me wonder how many times this guy can flat out lie before the media finally stops covering for him. I mean seriously, Barrack Obama has been nothing like what he advertised, and everything like what he was as a "community organizer". He is a Chicago thug, who is completely unqualified to be president. He has no experience in business or economics. No experience in healthcare industries. No military experience. No long-term political experience. Does it not blow your mind that this guy is actually president? It is the most remarkable thing I have ever witnessed.
Another Barry Obama Quote:
“There are all sorts of counter-majoritarian impulses in our system of government, and that's why this government has worked so well. And I think that's why we should try to back off the brink on this one”
I guess the counter measures that he finds so necessary to making our government work don’t apply to him. How lucky we are that we have a guy who can say one thing and do another. A true blooded American Leader, right?
Lastly, Obama makes it very clear, in a number of different speeches, that this is not the way the American government is supposed to operate. He even specifically named health care as an issue that should not be passed with a fifty plus one majority. Unfortunately for us, this is exactly what he is doing. Maybe he should start waterboarding holdouts to get this finished quickly. He may as well go all out on the hypocrisy wheel after what's happened in the last 14 months. This next paragraph is an excerpt from an article on the politico.
Rep. Chris Van Hollen (Md.), the Democratic leader tasked with protecting politically vulnerable incumbents, said Republicans would twist the nature of the health-care vote, no matter how the leadership proceeds. He defended the deem-and-pass strategy as a way "to make it clear we're amending the Senate bill." Without that approach, Van Hollen warned, "people are going to try to create the impression that the Senate bill is the final product, and it's not." Undecided Democrats appeared unconcerned by the flap. "I don't think anybody's going to say that we didn't vote for the bill," said Rep. Bart Gordon (D-Tenn.)
This is how Big Government takes control of people. They grey the lines of authority, take over regulating things they have no business even being around, and then run them into the ground. They will continue to live off of their personal wealth and feel no ill-effects of their tyranny. In fact, they will go to bed with an underserved sense of accomplishment for having helped others. The truth of what they are doing will never be recognized by them. The truth, will be experienced all throughout America with deteriorating health care, and rationing of resources. It is only a matter of time once this is finally over.
Democrats who vote for the package will be tagged with supporting the Senate bill. Even if they themselves don’t see it that way. But this is the only way they can get it done, because they know that they don’t have the votes for this unconstitutional crap-sandwich.Here’s some advice to democrats: If you don’t vote on the bill, people are going to think you didn’t vote on it. It’s complex I know, but this is an issue they should try very hard to understand. If the House doesn’t actually vote on the bill, with their names signed on the journal, then they will be held responsible for the vote they failed to make. It is truly pathetic the way this is all coming about. They never even read the bill that they failed to vote on because its 3,000 fricking pages long. Yet, they somehow have the ability to take control of a third of our economy. It is unconstitutional, un-transparent, and just flat out hypocritical.
