Why I don't watch the news

There are a couple of clips from South Park that pretty much make my point regarding the quality of modern news. People seem to believe that the news is filled with important information pertaining to real life. I hate to break this to you, but news shows are just that, Shows. They say what they think people want to hear, or what they think will keep people watching. South Park illustrates this point extremely well in one of their greatest episodes "The Quest for Ratings". The first clip shows the kids brainstorming for ideas, the second shows the result. Very funny, very accurate
